| Subject: Maserati chief says EVs are 'not the answer' Tue Apr 23, 2013 10:32 pm | |
| http://www.worldcarfans.com/113042256844/maserati-chief-says-evs-are-not-the-answerI'm sorry to have to be the conservative voice here, but I happen to agree with him. I want to agree with him. I'm not going to make any bones about it, I'm a Conservative when it comes to this issue and always have been. And some of the things, he's very right. The manufacture of the batteries will mean a lot of CO2 emissions. I mean look at the Toyota Prius. The CO2 emissions in producing most of its parts, its hybrid engine, is pretty large... and you get a ****, low quality product at the end of it. Maybe Maserati want to continue to use petrol (when they can), and perhaps just continue with what they've got? I don't blame them. There's a negative misconception that cars contribute a lot to CO2 emissions. CO2 emissions are mostly going up due to overpopulation, and people like to conveniently forget that planes, factories etc. also contribute to the overall CO2 emissions. | |
