All she has is a fortune possibly in the billions, many large castles and palaces, guards etc. But most of us commoners here in Britain, paying for the Queen's vastly increased salary? We're living in opulent luxury here, as you can see by so many people losing jobs, finding it difficult to get onto the housing ladder, and the Government making further cutbacks to the Welfare State! Isn't it obvious how desperately the Queen needs our money in this economic crisis? Sarcasm aside, I absolutely hate the Monarchy. It doesn't serve any purpose in the 21st century, and the Royal Family are essentially on benefits. | |
